Mood Music, Bred by Ralph Moore, Visalia California, 1977.

Mood Music
Breeding: 'Goldmoss' X 'Fairy Moss'.
For some reason this has become one of the more difficult of the Miniature Mosses to find in commerce. This is a compact, somewhat upright shrub that will grow to about 18 inches tall, give or take a few inches. The blooms are a soft orange hue, which fade to pale apricot with age. There is a slight fragrance, most of which is the balsam scent of the mossy glandular buds. Blooms are usually produced singly on the branches, and are about 1.5 inches across each.

The plant is healthy, vigorous, and blooms in distinct cycles with pauses between flushes. As with most of the mosses, 'Mood Music' is a thorny little thing......the thorniness and mossing are closely tied genetic traits, so it's hard to avoid!

This miniature Moss is both a beautiful small shrub and a meaningful step in the evolution of Miniature Moss roses. Well worth growing!
