Breeder unknown. (a chance discovery), 1993.
Darlow's Enigma is one of those found roses that has become a household
word among Rose growers, seemingly overnight! It has everything: vigor,
constant bloom, sweet fragrance, disease resistance and winter hardiness.
It is also quite tolerant of a shady location, although it performs
best when it gets at least a few hours of sunlight. This is an excellent
choice for a barrier rose also, as it has some pretty sharp thorns.
One of the very few truly exceptional climbing roses.
