Of all the Multiflora Ramblers, this one is likely my favorite. A rampant
climber to about 15 feet tall, this rose is smothered in deep wine-purple
blooms for several weeks in early Summer. Great color, great fragrance,
and tolerant of poor soils and less than ideal cultural conditions,
this is a very easy rose to grow. This can be a great companion for
one of the other Multiflora Ramblers 'Veilchenblau', which has a paler,
more silvery-blue color.
